  9. will reveal news items that one had missed when the paper was 
  10. in hand. Yet whether one uses the press for privacy in public 
  11. conveyances, or for involvement in the communal while 
  12. enjoying privacy, the mosaic of the press manages to effect a 
  13. complex many-levelled function of group-awareness and 
  14. participation such as the book has never been able to perform.
